Her design process begins by discovering the unique personality within a palette of pearls, crystals, colored stones and vintage beads. Guided by the colors, shapes, and textures of the raw materials, Sturman painstakingly designs -- hand weaving or crocheting -- each piece in her New York City studio.
Whether enticing and beguiling, with opulent twists of keshi pearls caressing the neck before cascading into frothy tendrils, or simply stunning in a richly-textured symphony of gold seed beads embellished with freshwater pearls and vintage beads, the result is always inspired and innovative.
