Kathleen DiResta Roth has a BFA in Sculpture and Art History from SUNY New Paltz.
After 6 years of assisting other jewelers, Kathleen started her own jewelry business, K. DiResta Design, Inc., in March of 1997, operating out of a studio on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Her line of modern jewelry is a playful combination of 18k gold and sterling silver. In addition to her line, she works closely with customers to create one-of-a-kind pieces for their wedding or special occasion.
From 1999 to 2003, Kathleen worked out of her East Village gallery space named DiResta Gallery. It featured the jewelry and photography of Kathleen and furniture by her brother, Jimmy.
Currently, her studio is in Sea Cliff and her designs sell nationally through boutiques, and high-end craft shows, as well as her website, www.kdirestadesign.com.
Kathleen taught at the Craft Students League in Manhattan until it closed. She now teaches jewelry making at the Art League of Long Island.
