Welcome to the
Jewelry Design Professionals'
Network!
The Jewelry Design Professionals' Network (JDPN), a not-for-profit organization founded in 1998, provides an open, accessible and supportive channel through which designers can share ideas, questions and concerns that affect us as artists and as business persons.

The JDPN creates a professional and amicable environment in which we can celebrate and enjoy the energy and creativity produced by like-minded people.

We believe that greater communication and interaction will strengthen us, both as individual designers and as a professional group. Through social and informative meetings; emails informing members of competitions, educational opportunities, and employment opportunities; a regular newsletter and our website, lines of communication are opened, creating the educational, networking and professional opportunities necessary for our members to increase business in a competitive market.

The JEWELRY DESIGN PROFESSIONALS' NETWORK is conducting a national survey for professional jewelry DESIGNERS

This survey represents an effort to establish income requirements for JEWELRY DESIGNERS at various stages in their careers, whether they are novices or experienced professionals, salaried in-house, or freelance.

The results of this survey will be published in the JDPN Newsletter as well as various jewelry publications around the country.  If you wish to participate, please click on the following link:

This survey is a tool to help DESIGNERS get a better idea of the average income for every level and every type of jewelry design, whether it be Fine, Costume or Bridge.  In turn, DESIGNERS will be able to request a more competitive freelance rate or salary and decide whether a freelance or in-house design lifestyle is for them.

To our knowledge, no one has conducted a survey of this nature to date.  All industry DESIGNERS who work in the U.S. are encouraged to participate.
